The President and Founder of ISL, Malcolm Fraser, has once again been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs.
This will be Malcolm’s fourth year accepting the Top 50 CEO award. “To be recognized by your peers is a great honour, and it also speaks to the talent and energy of the team I get to work alongside every day – they help to make my job much easier.”
The ISL staff would like to congratulate Malcolm for receiving this prestigious award. Tonya Darlington, an ISL team member, says, “Malcolm is incredibly involved with ISL’s operations, our clients and our team. He stands out for me among other President’s because he not only is concerned with the day-to-day business activities but truly wants his staff to enjoy their work, stay engaged and be challenged.”
The award, given by Atlantic Business Magazine, is based on the nominee's corporate, community and industry involvement; their company’s growth in recent years; and their responses to various managerial challenges.
Web Marketing Leadership
Malcolm has been a leader in the web marketing industry for over 16 years and has been recognized nationally for his innovative approach to the application of web technology. He founded ISL in 1995, and with partner Naveed Ashfaq, has been instrumental in growing the company into one of Canada’s most established digital agencies with offices in Halifax and Vancouver.
“I believe our success can be attributed not only to exceptional management, but to our outstanding staff who continue to stay up-to-date in an increasingly dynamic industry,” says Malcolm.
Malcolm believes in the importance of business leaders giving back to the community they work in. In addition to keeping ISL on the straight and narrow, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies and the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
As a Halifax native, Malcolm enjoys advising local entrepreneurs on their business startups. He has worked with such organizations as the Entrepreneurs’ Forum and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development.
Presentation of the awards was held during a gala event at Halifax’s World Trade and Convention Centre on May 9th, 2012.
