The Nova Scotia Department of Tourism was named Deloitte Innovator of the Year last night in Victoria at the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s National Awards for Tourism Excellence.
The TIAC award recognized the Province’s innovative integration of Google Earth on the novascotia.com website. The application enables website visitors to explore detailed satellite images of Nova Scotia, with landmarks highlighting attractions, events and accommodations of interest. It has been extremely successful, attracting over 200,000 page views in the first 4 months.
The Google Earth integration was designed and built by ISL web marketing and development, in conjunction with Colour Creative Persuasion.
